Samuel Beckett’s tragicomedy extraordinaire Waiting For Godot meets the high fantasy genre in this epic Twine parody about — yes, you got it — waiting!
With illustrations from visual artist Mariana Cheniaux, Waiting for Gondólf puts you in the role of Gogo, an ill-fortunate adventurer. Your best and only friend Didi has come up with a new, exciting quest: to bide your time. You must wait at the Lone Willow tavern for the arrival of the unrivalled sorcerer Gondólf. Together, the three of you shall embark on the greatest mission of your lives.
Alas, the greatly esteemed Gondolf appears to be in no haste to arrive...
That is the gist. When creating this game, I set out on the academic quest to explore the act of waiting inside digital fiction. Eventually, though, the characters got to me, and I couldn’t resist making it about something else entirely.
